Ulisse e le sirene

Ulysses and the sirens

Ulysses' ship arrives at the rocks inhabited by the Sirens.

The sorceress Circe warned Ulysses that he would meet this deadly danger: in fact, the sirens have a very sweet and enchanting song that makes everyone forget and lose their reason to anyone who listens to it.

On Circe's advice, Ulysses puts his companions in the ears of the wax so that he cannot hear the song.

Instead he gets tied to the mast of the ship and therefore hears the sweet call without suffering the consequences.
